Quick question.. was this inked and scanned? Or "pencilled" and scanned?

What about your digital pictures? IS that inked, scanned, coloured... or pencilled, coloured... orr... pencilled, then line-arted(?) digitally?
Just wondering coz I never seem to get the linearts right, people say you should ink and scan but I tried and it didn't really work..

my line arts are made by scanning a pencilled image then going over all the lines in MSPaint and deleting everything but the new lines and my digital work is done by taking my line arts and editing them in photoshop...
