Chuck Norris heard that nothing could kill him.
So he tracked down nothing and killed it first.

I made this at least a year ago, but you may be right. Does a black hole only spit out energy in one direction?

Lord-DracoDraconis In reply to Pokemon-TF-Fan [2011-12-20 08:35:36 +0000 UTC]

black holes actually only suck things in, the therietical "White Hole" spits stuff sucked in by its attached black hole out in a another universe/dimension/ect.

Though we'll never know since nothing can come close to a black hole and get away from it without being basicly destroyed...

Pokemon-TF-Fan In reply to Lord-DracoDraconis [2011-12-21 12:19:56 +0000 UTC]

I thought they released a single band of energy in one direction at all times. The energy is so strong that anything it hits is instantly destroyed.

no thats not a blackhole, their invisible, and only suck things in.

Pokemon-TF-Fan In reply to Lord-DracoDraconis [2011-12-25 03:03:28 +0000 UTC]

I know they're invisible. We only found them because we knew where the stars should be and something was blocking them. I'm sure I saw something on Science about it.

Lord-DracoDraconis In reply to Pokemon-TF-Fan [2011-12-25 05:28:36 +0000 UTC]

Actually we can only see them because of the things getting pulled into the outer parts of the black holes immense gravitational field.

I'm not saying you're wrong. I suppose I was. They don't talk about Gamma Ray Bursts a lot on Science.

oh, ok. look them up on google images if you want to know thats all, I saw something about them on the Science Channel, or on the Discovery Channel.

Discovery has nothing of educational value anymore. They only show American Chopper anymore.

And how often is it on?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Lord-DracoDraconis In reply to Pokemon-TF-Fan [2012-01-02 07:54:12 +0000 UTC]

During its seasons, its on most of the day from 4:00-9:00 on wednesdays

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Pokemon-TF-Fan In reply to Lord-DracoDraconis [2012-01-02 12:04:58 +0000 UTC]

That's Science. Although don't you agree that most of these channels are quickly losing educational value? American Pickers? Dog Whisperer? American Chopper? C'mon...

Oh, and that episode of How the Universe Works came on again. What I was thinking of with the huge beam of energy was a star's final breath before it collapses into a black hole. When it goes Supernova. A Gamma Ray Burst. We were both right. It is not a constant stream. And I remember what I was thinking a black hole was spitting out. There is a theory in quantum mechanics that states that a black hole emits radiation. It all worked out!
