Description Under typical conditions, Gogoat is a speed-11 bulldozer you can ride on that comes with a self-healing mechanism and 20 base damage... in Grass type.

This is another entry in the "Why tf is this legal in Great format?" since Gogoat will chew through so many weak Pokemon without even breaking a sweat. But at 90 points, Gogoat becomes the target of an entire team's worth of attack power, and at 14 defense that chunky 120 health will begin to disappear, even with Horn Leech taking the edge off.

But Gogoat's cost in Master format paints a somewhat different picture. 25 points is asking for a fourth of your total build allowance, representing Gogoat's ability to transport any Medium or Small ally the full 22 tiles it can conceivably move across the battlefield, dropping off a bomb or staking a claim with a slow but bruisy Pokemon to assert a massive area of control on the opponent's side of the field. And after that, Gogoat, can just go ham whatever's nearby.

I realize all of this resides in an imaginary sandbox in my mind that magically maintains a well-adjusted and balanced meta in each of the various formats. Still, I do wonder what it would actually look like to see each of these formats in action, with every Pokemon card finished and all other pieces in place that would allow games to take place. It would be hilarious to see how many broken cheeses, ham strategies, infinite loops, etc. are lurking between all the possible (and plausible) interactions between cards. The difference(s) between imaginary and reality.
