Julia is Hue's older sister and the gym leader of Glowstyle City, a 22nd-century-styled metropolis situated on the northeast coast of the Downda region. Julia is in her second year as gym leader and the whole city is a fan of the overhauls she's instigated at the gym - new lights, lots of traps, and an emphasis on vibrant colors and all-ages entertainment.

While Julia is a bit of an aloof screwball outside the arena, her battling persona is quick-witted and razor-sharp, to the point that many fans speculate she possesses precognitive abilities.

Julia initially selected Flufflup as her starter Pokemon, which she raised lovingly into its final form, Woofrust, before being released. Nowadays, Julia has a preference for agile Bug and Electric types.
