How come we get a sequel to Luigi's Mansion, a remake to Super Mario 64, a sequel to Super Mario Galaxy, two sequels (and an upcoming sequel) to Paper Mario, two sequels to the mario and Luigi games but no sequels to Super Mario RPG and Super Mario Sunshine?

Luigi's mansion 2 might come out in the spring of the first half of 2012. It will have new mansions, the poltergust 3000's upgrade the poltergust 5000, there will be new ghost like the funny and cute green ones, the red biffy ones, and my favorite the orange one that controlls every thing in the study room. I love luigi's mansion!, i love the purple puncher ones from the first game!

new power up that luigi can use : strobe ,what it does luigi charges a certain amout of light then when charged the little green light on the back of the poltergust(5000) will flash when realesed luigis flashlight emits a giant light that makes even invisible ghosts get surprised this power up is forever and will come in handy btw ghosts in this game are more harder to catch there may be missions other than a regular story but thats just me i saw the demo and by the look of it theres missions and every mission takes luigi deeper into the mansion thats where king boo comes in he will take part of the story(obviously the end boss) :/ also great pic i like luigis expression there XD i still hope for STCOY ghost :/ and a heat meter just like the BETA version for luigis mansion 1...

Luigi's Mansion made much better improvements in story line in the second version for the 3DS than the older version for gamecube. The beta version of Luigis mansion was never sold again since nintendo discovered the reaction to all people who have played it and gotten the game over. Look up on youtube: Luigis Mansion Beta Game Over. Many to all people who have seen this cutscene were nearly scarred for life and given awful nightmares. This scene shows this: Zooming out from the Mansion with dramatic music until you finally see Luigi. You cannot see his face until lighting strikes in the background. Luigis nose and lips are bulged a bit and his eyes have a purple shadow under them. Luigis pupils are rolled up so his eyes are completely white. Here is what happened. Luigi ran out of time to save Mario. Mario was completely turned into a painting, meaning he is dead. Luigi walked out of the Mansion extremely depressed. On Luigis way out, King Boo thought that he wouldn't let Luigi leave so easily. King Boo sent his strongest Boo soldier after Luigi. This Boo possessed Luigis body causing him to look like a freak. Since Luigi was being controlled by a ghost, "Luigi" was technically dead. King Boo set free all the ghosts that Luigi had put into the paintings. Therefore, The Mario Brothers have fallen forever. That was the end of Luigis Mansion Beta Version.

XD the BETA version was epic i saw it along time ago but one thing that doesent get to me..why didnt nintendo make profit an sell the beta version to. becuase at E3 2001 everyone like the beta version better than the finnal...

aww dude cool name dB yes the game over is when you ran out of time ( 24 hours AM/PM ..but the PAL version supported more difficulty due to having to play at night for nighttime to appear in the mansion also made from the time on the gamecube) luigi would be depressed not be a ghost or be possesed

yep! the thing is, its kinda cheap that in the beta version there was a time limit to save mario. But one more thing. Why was there a time limit? I mean like what would happen when the time runs out? would the mansion do something? were the ghosts at there strongest form and destroyed the poltergust? Man, its such a mystery to me. ill look it up. if i figure it out, ill tell you. til then, later!

Yes there were changes in the mansion as time passes and yes there were to be srtonger ghosts as time passes in the mansion there was a ghost named on youtube the stcoy ghost (scare the crap out of you) who would scare luigi in the hallways and when he did luigi would let out a comic letters "AHHHHHHHHH" and be crawling on the floor for 15 seconds also ypure health would go from 100/100 to 50/50 yea even the max health wpuld go down and then go back up to 100 after time passes so basicly 2 stcoy scares and good night for luigi

... I just saw the Beta Game Over from the E3 2001 footage. Gosh, I never thought I would ever see Luigi look so gloomy (I know it's the boo, but still). It makes me sad just looking at it.
Still the game (the regular one) creeped me out when I first played it. Facing the ghosts in the first room with that music scared me and I hardly played it unless there was an abundance of light in the room. I'm playing it again now and am almost finished, but I sometimes get creeped out here and there.

The big thing I want to see (or should I say "hear") in the sequel is the classic Luigi's Mansion theme. As far as I'm concerned that is Luigi's theme song. Here's hoping.
