Glad i'm not the only one that decided a Bat was a good idea for a totem form. Mine was male tho.

Awesome! I thought she was a rabbit from the thumbnails but then I full-viewed and saw the bat wings

Very cool. I likes lots. I likes most her hip area. Very well done. The wings are excellent. Very cool.

I love that you've done a rabbit type character here. So many people think Lunar means brutal beast of war and carnage. You're done a great job with the shading and the expression as well. I adore the tattooed ears!

She's actually a bat...The wings and fangs and long spindly arms.

Wow! How wrong was I?! I must be some sort of world class idiot. But now that you say it, I totally get it.

Interesting design and the details are nice.

If I were to nitpick though, I'd say that the clothes were made where they might look proper instead of following the flow and the curvature of the body. For instance, the straps over the shoulders that connect to the piece of clothe for the top. is straight, which doesn't imply that it's actually moving along with the body--unless extremely flat. Which makes the breast a bit wonky.

Lastly, why do a nice drawing and give it such a wretched background? So much detail into the character, and you completely omit the wings and backdrop.

Do you mean that the straps are straight or that the clothing line of the top is straight? It is true that Mel is very flat-chested (Why have big boobs to add weight?) but if that is not what is implied I will try to fix it. Perhaps by adding a shadow to show that the strap does not lie flat on the flesh.

As for the background, yeah, it totally sucks. I went back and added in atmospheric-perspective tree trunks for a forest setting, because I'll be damned but I concentrated too much on character design and not where she was.

Heaven forbid we go that extra step to make a picture better.

No, the lines of the strap are straight, there's no flex whatsoever. You'd imagine holding on something flimsy like that shirt would add anough slack to show that it falls on flesh versus remains rigid along the body.

Hell, why am I bothering to help you in anyway? You're an elitest to an nth degree.

Smugness is so kyoot.
Actually I was asking what your opinion was on how I can fix the flaw in the straps or fabric line.

If you don't want to 'bother to help', doesn't 'bother' me. How elitist does that sound? Nobody's keeping you here, especially me. So...go on now, sure.

Cool drawing, I like the armor a lot. I think her expression is interesting how it's modified with tattoos, gives a strong warrior feel. If she were a human I'd say her arm is a few inches (not inches on the screen, but if she were real) too long. Since she's not it's hard too tell if there's anything out of proportion with it. The fold in the front cloth looking part of her armor look well made and fairly realistic too.

Thanks man. Mel's arms are actually supposed to reach down to her knees, I really wanted to get her form really lanky and warped looking, with extremely long and thin arms. Maybe there's a way I can pull that off without it looking out of proportion though...Thanks for the comment.

I think that from the thinness of the arms I had kind of suspected that it was done on purpose though, which is why I didn't just say it needed to be shorter but that I wasn't sure. I think maybe if it was even longer then it'd be more obvious that it's meant to be like that, and keeping the arms just as thin as they are now.

That is one badass outfit. I love the defiant pose and that gaze that stings and penetrates. She's such a neat character. Marvelous work on the shading as well! The background is quick and scratchy, but it doens't take away from the full power of Mel's pose. For me, anyway.
