*Epilogue:Technique Mastered*
A Teddiursa fell, unmoving, to the ground. After a few silent moments, she jolted back to consciousness and shot herself up to her feet. She frantically looked around, and then jumped when she saw a ball of pink. “Oh!” she yelped in surprise of his sudden appearance, and then relaxed a bit after realizing it wasn’t who she was expecting. “Oh… Little Igglybuff! You’ll never believe what just happened to me! The soul-stealer! He’s real! And I’m a victim! I don’t know how I got free from his grasp, but--”
“Soul-stealer?” Kione questioned mockingly. “You know that’s just a rumor, right, kyoo?”
“It’s not just a rumor! I’m telling you, my soul was personally stolen by him!”
“So, then, how are you standing right here in front of me?”
“Because…I don’t know. He must’ve just let me go, I guess…”
“Right, kyoo.”
“I know it sounds weird, but it’s true!”
“So, then, if your soul really did get stolen, how did he do it?”
“He--” she stopped to think. “…He…” But it was all a blank in her mind.
“Do you even know what he looked like, kyoo?”
“…Well…” She thought as hard as she could. “It… It’s all just a blur… I can’t exactly…make it out…”
“I knew it, kyoo. You were probably just dreaming.”
“But… But it was so real… I know it really…”
“Whatever, kyoo. Believe your little fairy tales and just go home already.”
The Teddiursa huffed in frustration and stomped off, muttering that she knew what she was talking about and the like. Once she was out of sight, the dark Banette landed next to Kione. “I do believe I have mastered it now,” he said.
“I’ll say. So, now that that’s finally out of the way, what’s next, kyoo?”
Thorne turned and began to walk away. “I am curious… Let us go pay a quick visit to Kangaskhan’s storage to see if a particularly desired item is kept there…shall we?” Kione tilted his head, wondering what item he could have meant to find, but followed nonetheless.

Heheh, for some reason, I've always mistakenly recalled it as their souls. But when I finally re-looked it up, I found it was actually their cursed energy. |D;
But after some more pondering, I figured it could still work out, either way. 'Cause it's an unseen, internal "entity" (for lack of a better word) that keeps them alive. Without it, they're lifeless, but it is still capable of returning to them, just like a soul. ^o^
