Well, if I had to choose, then the games, but the only reason I think they can eat berries and stuff in the games is simply because...well, it'd be weird to not let any of the Pokemon be able to eat stuff, wouldn't it?
But realistically speaking, if a Banette ever opened its mouth, its cursed energy would escape, leaving it inanimate, sooooo... Yeah. o3o
