Description
This is Saphrine, a dragoness commissioned by(I really hope you like it!!)
I really enjoyed painting this, as your description was very well detailed, and it inspired me a lot.
[Here follows her description:]
"..deep blue dragon, slender in form with a crest instead on horns, molten orbs for eyes, a slight jaw fringe, a back ridge like the one in ur Night Sea Dragon, if the legs are showing, she has spike/horns sweeping back/up from the knees, if the tail is showing she has a fin shape at the end of it. im sorry if this overly specific... her name is Saphrine.."
Well, this is the second dragon I paint on photoshop, I'm sorry for mistakes or such things!
About the background:
I could have done much better, but after some hours, I come to a point when I feel I should stop, so here is the result lol.
After painting the dragoness, this is the background I felt more appropriate for her.

Wow that is awesome that is some high high detail, do you use a specific brush for those molten orbs because that is quite a unique concept.

I use a normal rectangular brush (default n11) for almost everything in the painting! I made every single scale with that XD

lol u are quite right about that!~ im trying to design a new type of picture. making the body less look like an outline and using the scales to create the outline. takes MUCHO worko but im tryin. havnt gotten it perfected yet and i dont expect to...for about a year or so haha

ahah, well, the person who commissioned it told me that it should have been a female and... I tryied to make it look like a female lol
(and it's even quite impossible to tell whether a reptile is male or female without annoying them! I have an iguana which is still of unknown sex!)

Actually, once you have set the brushes correctly, it's more or less like pencil or pen
