Description Cambo SC 8X10
Schneider 360 mm Super Symmar S Lens
Polaroid Type 803 paper negative inversion (uncleaned)

Inverted in PS with only contrast and brightness adjustment.

Prior to cleaning the residual emulsions off of this negative, I decided to go ahead and scan it in. The result reminds me of a degrading tin type, a moment of time that is slowly fading away. I believe that the effect worked nicely with this shot.

Te solarization is inherent in the negative as it continued to develop after the postive was peeled and of course the splotches are residual dried emulsions.

The bad news is that the negative is all that remains of this shot. The positive was lost during a protracted atttempt to emusion transfer. Films with "3" in the product number appear to not transfer very well. C'est la vie!

Almost seems like an illustration, with the strong lines around the figure, and the light background color... not to mention the splotchies. I like it a lot...

i love it. i think this turned out great. and the fact that it turned out this way without being manipulated really adds to it. it was meant to be seen this way almost...

anyway, absolutely love the texture and range of values...

very cool...

I'm sorry the positive didn't survive the transfer process. I'll bet it would have been beautiful. Will carefully note the advice about film type for transfer and stick with "9".

What you have done here to resurrect the negative is lovely. I hope you'll share the results of the cleaned neg here as well, though I do like the effect of the residual emulsion bits.

That's beautiful, Sam!!!

I like the degradation effect!! I like that she seems to be just floating like that, and how part of her disappears into the negative!!!

This is really amazing work Sam!!!!

Bravo!

i can't wait to try this myself sometime soon! Wow.
