Concept art for TimewarpVortexShadowmancy... the divination of the shadows into a art which becomes not only blinding but deafening as well. The powers of shadowmancy include the ability to hide amongst the coils of the shadows, as well as blind targets, and disorient them. It also includes some illusions and some other neat little tricks... but as a shadowmancer becomes more powerful, the true powers of the shadows are revealed to them.
Shadow Dolls and Puppets come forth as shadows, but act as real as any regular being. Once the shadows start lashing out, the Shadowmancer will slowly learn of the Shadow Realm. The Shadow Realm is an alternate plane of existance, created by ancient deities as a prison for monstrous creatures so powerful, they threatened the rule of said deities. With the power of the shadows, Shadowmancers become a sort of "warden," allowing the monsters to slip out for a small amount of time under the control of the Shadowmancer, and wreak the havoc that they were born for.

The dark energy sends tingles up my spine, mostly from the thought of the power that's being drawn forth. The prisoners of the Shadow Realm pouring forth at the command of such a powerful mage... but... there's always someone more powerful.
