I don't know why I'm getting the notion that I've seen this before, or something very much like it, but I believe I did somewhere a while ago. Oh, well...

I bet the source I'm trying to recall was actually this when browsing at random, and had thought it so awesome that it never entirely left my mind... and now its coolness has drawn me to it again.

To put it more simply, this is a really kick-ass piece of art! ^^

why?
because the one thing I love more than mythology is seeing something that has never been done before.
and believe me, I've never seen a kitsune that isn't some kind of kawaii desu furry. or basically a rehashed naruto kitsune.
