It's OK, I don't blame you. Only other issue is that if I ever DO decide to give it to someone I already promised it would go to the guy that helped me with it with the tool loan.

Yeah, but that won't happen until I can find the time to build a screen accurate version.

Well there's several models that Homelite used that can be used to make a screen accurate. The XL, 240, Super2, LT I believe and XL2 if my memory serves. A couple models have aluminum casings that are pretty much exactly like the plastic casing saw they used in the film that I honestly prefer though.

No I mean I prefer the metal casing, lol. They're tougher and if you make a mistake you can fill them in with JB weld and sand it over and paint it. Much more forgiving and honetly it takes the weight of a 20 inch bar better than the plastic which flexes a lot. Plastic has an upside though that it is a bit lighter and color molded meaning you don't have to worry about painting it red, lol.

Yes, but the plastic casings can still be quite good, don't get me wrong. They're easier to cut, lighter so they're easier to handle and modify, you just have to make VERY sure before drilling holes.

I really couldn't. It can vary a lot depending on what kind or brand of chainsaw you use. I didn't even use the correct type that was used in the movies. XD

Yeah sorry, but if you google around a bit there are plenty of builders that have images of their builds using the correct brand of chainsaw.

Or, I could keep the chainsaw and shove it so far up your ass that you'll be tasting the chain oil with your frontal lobes.

I have and can do just that. Chainsaw on my right arm, shotgun on my back, Freddy glove in my left hand holding a machete and wearing the hockey mask. I've done it before.
Anyway, you'd have to FIND me first. Once you're on my turf you'd have to deal with the hoards from hell.

Sorry I couldn't help with that though, I do know of a few places with How-to's on Evil Dead chainsaws using real Homelite chainsaws like they did in the movies. Let me know in case you want to try it yourself, you know, if nobody else can build you one.
