A little snippet of my own personal take on Scar and Ahadi.

In this "scene" Taka (now Scar) is bragging about how he got his scar to his parents and says some distasteful things which may or may not be true. Either way Ahadi isn't pleased.

Ahadi never hated Taka, he just accepted early on that Taka might not even survive let alone grow to be much. He loved both his sons, but was somewhat ashamed of Taka's weakness and failure to be a strong beast like his father. Since Ahadi's ideals were more traditional, he naturally valued Mufasa more. Ahadi only required that Taka be obedient and respectful. Clearly Taka has pushed Ahadi a little too far, and tensions are extremely high inside pride rock.
