Description
So I figured out the secret to defeating artist's block.Draw David Tennant's face. I'm cured! This I did before dinner Saturday afternoon in an hour or two (though I'm still tweaking the real thing now). Someday I hope to do a more detailed portrait that visibly includes his eyes.
Done with colored pencils on some heavily textured gray scale paper.

I love how his glasses are the only thing in colour.
I wanted 3D glasses forever, and then I saw Tennant in his glasses and wanted them MORE, and then it was Hannah Montana movie-ness so I got about 10 pairs of glasses, just in case n___n

The texture of the hair, the bold strokes in the shading and highlights... even the nuances of the smooth matte cardboard in the 3-D glasses frame.
The striking pose, the arresting expression, the unorthodox (but well-balanced) compositon...
