That's a really nice image, but I really don't like the text. You ask 'why conform' in a piece that conforms to a really common style. This is one of the best of this style I've seen, but that doesn't mean you aren't conforming to it.
Still, even if you were to be greatly innovative in a piece, the words 'why conform' would still sound whiney... but that's just my opinion.
Overall, it's a really great image as far as composition, color, and technique. The flat graphic units are really quite nice.

My favourite styles are moving away from the 3d modelled bulky objects and pixel stretching to more geometric and abstract elements (hence the movement shown on the piece).

the irony in this piece is that you've created a trendwhore image and entitled it 'why conform' as if this image isn't conforming to any style, when it clearly is.
the movement you have to 'more geometric and abstract elements' is just a variation of a trend i've seen wandering around... so it's still very hypocritical.
