Wow I should have finished this a while ago but I kept fussing over little details. I really just had to shove this out there now cause I'll never finish at this rate.

Team Maze
A mixed bag of contradictions. Logically YanYan would be the leader of a team since his adamant personality gives him a strong drive and sense of direction, but it's Poplar who leads the team despite her timid life. This set up is due to one thing - YanYan's short temper. While normally level headed, YanYan can blow his top and his adamant nature means he has a hard time stopping and calming down. In other words he has bouts of rage for days. Plus, he has no desire to be a leader of anyone but himself. He good naturedly humors Poplar's leadership and watches over her as she fumbles around. Poplar has the ability to calm YanYan down and steal any power-up items he might have.

Poplar the Fennekin
Poplar is following in the footsteps of a family friend, Plum, who defied his parents and went on an adventure outside the walls of Lilly Villa. Just like Plum, Poplar's nature and characteristic were largely misunderstood which led to family fights. Unable to face the pressure at home Poplar leaves in a spur of the moment panic and, as you know, once you leave Lilly Villa you can not get back inside. Normally being timid means there is no desire to fight and instead run away, but Poplar is more complex than that. She enjoys fighting once she starts. While she will not seek out a battle, she will gladly partake in a brawl when crossing paths with rouge Pokemon. Direct EMOTIONAL confrontation on the other hand will cause her to freeze up.

YanYan the Pancham
YanYan is the big brother to five younger siblings. He has never had any trouble surviving on his own and moved to Andalusst a few years before meeting Poplar. He had a job at a market stall that Poplar ended up frequenting, getting to know the Pancham quite well. YanYan isn't really interested in being part of a guild because he is skeptical of their leaders, but he just can't let Poplar do this shtick alone. His younger siblings called him "Boss" because he had to boss them around. After learning the nickname Poplar calls him "Boss" as well. Pancham enjoys eating cornn berries just like Poplar and they will often eat cornn related products together. This is also one of two reasons why they are called TeamMaze.
