Description *IMPORTANT NOTE*
As the name implies, this deviation is a walk cycle animation. I did not make the model nor did I rig it

Awesome "Roboter" rig is from [link]
Modeler: Andreas Karlsson [link]
Rigger: Niklas Wennersten [link]

--

A refined version of [link]

Type: walk cycle - humanoid style
Frames: 36
Software: Maya
Time: around 1-2 hours (refining existing animation)

Still can be better, needs some more loves smoothing out the animation, but I've been working 12 days straight and just wanted to get this one over with

(I noticed the legs in the front view are still too straight, I tried breaking the line, but I didn't want to go 'too human' and decided to keep it straight (don't know if it was a good or bad idea)

Thank you for all the comments and critiques from the previous walk cycle, I've tried to incorporate your ideas and suggestions into this version as much as I can (of course, while trying to preserve my vision of it), if any of you would kindly point out mistakes and issues with this one, it would be very much appreciated.

Cheers!

Comments are welcomed, BUT CRITIQUES ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! THANKS!

Very good walk cycle, it looks natural while also giving off some personality. It's clear that you've received many critiques on it, because it looks very refined at this point, great work, I know it must've taken many hours - it shows! ^^ The only thing I can suggest is to try reducing the movement of the head, just to see how it looks - I know when I do walk cycles, I have a tendency to add more movement to the head, when in reality the human head is very good at keeping still in order to minimize disturbances to the field of vision.

Thank you so much for your kind words as well as your suggestion,
I really appreciate them.

I'm glad you said I should reduce the head animation, because that
was the way I intended to do but my friend suggested I add some tilts
to it and may be I went overboard. Now I look at the animation again
and feel a little sorry for the robot guy because his neck must get
really tired from tilting up and down all the time of the walk.(haha!)

Thanks again!

It's very nice! Very refined. I like the slight sashay of the hips in the front view - maybe you could make it slightly more prominent? But other than that, it's wonderful.

Thank you very much for your kind words!

Your suggestion is appreciated. Personally I don't like to give too much movement for the hip (I think it's just my style),
but I know that this character could use some more exaggerating since it looks cartoony to begin with.
I might not make any update to it's humanoid walk anytime soon, but I will keep your comment in mind.

Thanks again.
