for project comment
there are a couple things wrong with this drawing. first off, the white haired girl is to tall. it is no longer chibi probortions. it is more in loli/moe proportions.you can still make her taller than the red haired girl, just not as tall as she currently is. it just looks out of place when she is standing right next to the red haired girl. the rest of the anatomy is good. i would just give the red haired girl a slightly sharper chin because it doesent correspond well to the jaw and mouth. the shading and lighting is average. there isnt anything great about it but i also cant point out any mistakes in it. the eyelashes on the white haired color are the same color as the eyes but it is just black on the red haired character. the handle of the crystal kuni is being covered by the holder. the only parts she could grab from would be the blade and the tip of the handle which gets wider. try to think about the weapon and how the character would take it out instead of looking at a refrence and just drawing from that. when you draw soe type of usable object, think about how the character would use it. this will help you draw it better. sry this is a little nit pickey, but it really bothered me. overall i would say that this is a great drawing. i would reccommend looking at chibi anatomy

Hi! Thank you so much for your comment, I really appreciate it ^^
I just wanted to take the time to reply to some of your points --
You are correct, this is not the usual chibi proportion, which is usually 2 heads or 3 heads tall. I should clarify and say that my chibis are actually in the subgroup of "semi-chibis", which have more realistic proportions and are usually 3 1/2 to as high as 5 heads tall (getting into the moe/loli range). That being said, the more I look at the heads the more I see your point that the proportions are off, though I think the problem has more to do with the heads and not their heights. I think they are trying to be chibis (big head) but then they have a realistic body, so it doesn't look as good. I'll keep experimenting with this in my future drawings, so thank you for pointing it out!
In the game this is based from, FFXIV, the red-haired girl is called a lalafell. Lalafells are extremely small, they only go up to the thighs of a normal human character usually, and so if the Au'Ra (white haired girl) is patting her on the head, she would have to bend over quite a bit which is why I drew them with these proportions in mind. Otherwise if they are too close in height, no one will be able to tell that the red haired girl is actually very very small compared to the white-haired one. It's like a full grown adult patting a toddler on the head, which is why the white-haired one looks so tall. This was for sure a challenge for me to figure out, because I didn't know how much to exaggerate the height difference. If it looks off to you even after this explanation then I will keep thinking of ways I can better show this.
Totally agree with the shading and lighting, I still find it very challenging to make them look interesting. And I missed the small girl's eyelashes, thanks for catching that! Gotta train my eyes more haha
Lastly those are not kunai! They do kinda look like them though They are actually bottles of potions used in alchemy, and in FF these can be found on various areas near the waist and hips when you look at their clothing designs. They're bottles she can pop open and mix with other stuff.
Thanks again for your comment, I hope I was able to clear some things up about the drawing and thank you again for bringing up proportion and coloring problems I didn't notice at first!

Thank you for the wonderful constructive criticism!! I agree with you wholeheartedly, I seem to really struggle with coloring clothing. Hair and eyes were always my biggest interest when growing up and admittedly I keep neglecting clothing. I just never know how to approach it, and armor especially has been difficult to grasp because of how light can affect it in many ways!
If you know any good sources for drawing and painting clothes I would love to look at them ^^ thank you again and Iβm glad you think itβs cute! Sometimes when I draw Iβm never sure if it looks cute because itβs more proportionally accurate than a normal chibi.. but Iβm glad itβs having the intended effect!!

Good job.
Granted, I have limited knowledge on the Final Fantasy series but what I do know is that this is cool.
