Thank you very much for your comments, but I'd like to say this was a digital painting and not a watercolor ^^ If that changes your review that's totally fine!

Good stuff! Some techniques for your consideration:
Grass - Use speed blur to make vertical grass, then smudge or other distort to make waves, footprints, etc,
Leaves/Flowering Branches - Use Confetti tool to make random multi-colored clusters. For example, Pink/White = Cherry blossoms. Draw branch and shade, then two shades of green for leaves placed along branch. You can also use stipple or cork patterns and smudge. Alternate colors as needed.
Flowing Water - Draw streams, blur, then smudge with stipple brush. The stipple dots will randomize the streams by dragging along the primary direction.
Bark - Splatter/hurl filters with different shades of brown to suit, then use patterned brush with small strokes to smudge texture. Or paint directly on chosen primary color with various shades and pattern brush. Play with interval setting (solid lines become dots) to further texturize.
I like what you've done. My only grumble would be the palm leaves look out of focus compared to the rest. Have fun!

This is good practice overall. Your application of different brushes is good, the waterfall and reflective river also look good. You have a good level of concept art execution here. If the goal of this pick was not to recreate the reference exactly, I would say that you should incorporate more colors, and contrast to this piece (give more separation and vibrancy in general).
If your goal was suppose to be a direct recreation of the reference, I would suggest try to work in the multi background layers in the original. There is a nice depth of space in the original leading to the waterfall which comes out a little flat this recreation. For an example, look at the tree in the mid-ground of the original. It stands out significantly from the subsequent layers of the back-ground behind it, creating a nice contrast element between those slightly hazier background layers. My suggestion would be some work on the contrast between layers in your recreation, to create that depth.
I would not normally give constructive criticism, but since it was requested I thought I would share...

Thank you so much for your feedback!
I'm actually not sure what my goal was per se... I've never done a photo study before and thought I should draw something different for a change! So I tried to recreate the image for the most part but didn't get hung up on the details - I just wanted to explore different techniques and get a feel for digital painting and scenery drawing.
Colors were definitely difficult to get here -- all I saw was different shades of green, so in the end the colors I picked weren't that interesting... I'll try to practice adding color and contrast next time!
Thank you again~
