Personality: graceful patient and empathetic, this lapis is nurturing to plants and organic animals including human children. She is very stable and meditative. She is not quick to anger and conflict adverse when it’s her being picked on, but can be very aggressive when those she cares about are being threatened or degraded. She can be a bit pretentious and a bit over trusting and naive. She likes to sing, play the flute and talk to humans picnicking or fishing. She keeps pet goldfish in her wings.

Bio: Belle (she was originally nicknamed “Belly” but shortened it to “Belle” pronounced “Bell”) is an off color lapis lazuli. She is very patient even with those who do not deserve it. She was picked on by the other Lapis Lazulis assigned to terraform Earth, particularly a perfect Lapis who is later nicknamed Footsie by Steven (despite her hatred of this nickname) because her gem is on her foot. Footsie is a very competent terraformer and loves destruction, like a tsunami. In the process of terraforming the earth, Belle saw a fish crawl up onto land and thought it was cute. She hid it from Lazurite (her manager and the other Lazulis. Shortly after she joined the crystal gems. She teamed up with an orange Spinel, who always seemed to make Rose Quartz uncomfortable for reasons nobody knew. Later they were joined by Rose Sapphire (a pink sapphire) and Salmon Pearl. Rose was an off color who predicted things that ended up not ever actually happening, similar to schizophrenia in humans. Salmon Pearl was her Pearl. Eventually as the crystal gems expanded, the group of OCs moved to Forest Town North Carolina, which is a fictional city like beach city or empire city. Forest Town is on the inner side of North Carolina away from the ocean near Asheville or Lake Juneluska for those familiar with the area like I am (which is why I placed it there). They lived in the woods together in a cabin. Belle began playing with human children and gardening… Until one day Rose Sapphire had a vision of the shattering of Pink, the losing of the war and everything. The group thought she was having a false prediction, but she would not drop it. They evacuated to the moon like a bet or a dare, expecting to return a few days later to see all their friends, assuming Rose Sapphire would be a little angry but then they’d all have a good laugh. Sadly, THIS was the prediction that came true. They returned to discover they were seemingly the only ones left. Lapis tried to befriend a human child, but one day the child told his parents about her and they assumed he was crazy or making it up so that was the end of her interactions with humans for a while. She felt guilty until she saw the boy now grown with his wife at the lake as an adult seemingly doing well. She hid in a bush.
