I decided I may do a line of gemsonas based on 4 famous diamonds: Foxfire, Hope, Koi and Paragon

Yes, that glowing blue gem in the two small thumbnails in the middle are a photo of a real gem. The Foxfire Diamond is a real thing. The Foxfire Diamond is a diamonds the glows bright blue after being exposed to UV light, despite it appearing clear white in normal lighting. It was mined in 2015 and displayed in the Smithsonian in 2016. It sold recently for $3 million. Look it up!

Foxfire Diamond, aka “the moon goddess” is a long forgotten 5th diamond whose gem trapped in the lunar sea spire statue possessed by Steven dating back to season 1. She was imprisoned there long ago by white as a punishment and removed from gem record. Originally this was to make an example of her, but ironically everyone just kind of forgot her. Everyone except Pink….

The action that Foxfire was imprisoned for was an attempt to leave the diamond authority. Basically treason. She was a kind ruler and didn’t go along with White and her authoritarian rule. At first she was punished by being put in charge of babysitting Pink Diamond. However, this was a bad combo. Pink’s rebelliousness spread to Foxfire somewhat. Initially Foxfire proposed taking her court he just colonizing a planet sustainably and leaving, but no. White did not like this idea. Pink despite her different temperament never forgot Foxfire and always missed her. She kept the statue in which foxfire was imprisoned and brought it with her to Earth.

This is why Pink didn’t rebel as a diamond and had to disguise as Rose. She was afraid. This is why Blue and Yellow were so frightened by Pink’s rebellious attitude.

After her Diamond was poofed away, teal was bubbled and was still in Yellow diamonds room, also forgotten about.
