Good qualities: a very kind and sweet and nurturing gem, especially for a Quartz. This is due to the over abundance of pink color in her spectrum. She is very curious. Despite appearing naive, she is actually quite intelligent. She also has a great sense of humor something about her just makes you want to smile. She is creative too.
Bad Qualities: she sometimes is too emotionsl, and she is still a Quartz after all. She tries to repress it then eventually explodes, hence why her weapon is a bomb. She’ll let you walk all over her for months then suddenly start shouting at you, basically. She also has the attention span of a common housefly.
Fears and weaknesses: thunderstorms scare her. Lightning reminds her of a rejuvenator or destabilizer.

Backstory: pink Jasper is an off color Jasper from the earth prime kindergarten who escaped from corruption by wild chance. She joined the crystal gems because she didn’t fit in as a homeworld soldier. She was too kind and rebellious and free spirited for war. She did not want to hurt anybody and talked back to her agate, she’s sure despite not remembering it that she’s been rejuvenated before. If she wanted to be a brute she’d be bad news, her bombs are powerful. She even when mad doesn’t lash out physically, but may yell or say hurtful things. She didn’t fit in with the crystal gems either though, in war both sides are forced onto the battlefield and her team felt a Quartz that won’t fight is useless. Rose wasn’t around most of the time. Operations where she was were often overseen by a gem named Siberite Tourmaline. She was just as cruel to P.J. As the agates that served homeworld. She reported this to Rose, but Rose never did anything. To be honest, Rose was the reason she joined. A Quartz who could do something other than just follow orders. One day she finally stood up to tourmaline and tourmaline basically said “get out” then told rose she was shattered in battle. She came back to earth later to find she was seemingly the only one left. She also had never gotten along with bismuth due to some of bismuth’s views on shattering.

Steven finds her living in the woods during the main series.

Present day: she despite having a crush on a human male has no idea they can’t fuse or what humans do instead, as she spends very little time actually having conversations with Sour Cream. He doesn’t know she likes him. For a while Kevin liked her, but only because she kinda looks like his ex. She rejected him which hurt his ego and he lashed out, and due to her history of being made the bad guy for saying no didn’t sit well. She once lifted the front of Sour Cream’s shirt kn public when she realized clothes weren’t attached to human’s bodies out of curiosity, but Greg stopped her from doing anything more embarrassing than that. All he told her is not to do that, but not why. (She would probably try “human fusion” though if she knew what it was) She watches camp pining hearts with peridot and she and amethyst bonded over being defective Quartzes. She also enjoys watching Onion for some reason. She doesn’t get along with Lapis as the two constantly get into weird competitive arguments about who had it worse, who’s moved on more, etc. she especially hates Jasper, though who makes fun of her for being off color which she’s already sensitive about. She also enjoys acting, so she befriends Jamie as well. She was devastated to learn Rose was a diamond and that a diamond was just leading an army just like on homeworld this whole time. Initially her feelings were that the war changed nothing, but it was through Steven that she realized she was wrong. It wasn’t just for gems. It was for the Earth.
