I didn't save it right before I changed it, but I do have one saved image from the process. sta.sh/0lcrbr5ai25 This one shows the mistakes I was falling into - the planes of the face are not well defined and there's way too much value variation in the eye area. Not to mention the proportions are way off and the colours boring. Simplifying everything helps a lot...

What I think makes the biggest impact is that you removed the midrange values from the shadow. It really brings more depth to the piece.Good job!

Absolutely -getting too fiddly in the shadows is a mistake I often make. Thanks
