last summer, my uncle was doing the chores and upon coming into the tack room, he hears weak meowing coming from an empty feed barrel. he looks into the feed barrel and there are five poor kitten in there, four dead and one little calico clinging on to life.

he called me and i came down to the barn, i took the kitten and slowly nursed her back to health (she had been in that barrel for quite some time). i had to begin with only a little bit of baby food every hour or so, and within the month, she was healthy and happy.

i gave the kitten to my friend autumn, and she now lives happily ever after, named lucy.
