if i see the market price panel (panel 4) it looks like as if there was a connection to the dollar in more as one way.
if my theory is right the reason for the continuously low donations is the dollar who get weaker and weaker combined with the shrinking trust into the national and international financial institutions.
more and more people are starting to save their money for bad times.
against money inflation we can't do anything, but shrinking trust into the banks, well i have an idea.
have you an amazon account? if yes then it would be possible for you to get donations in the shape of coupon codes to buy food and stuff and bypass shrinking trust into financial institutions.
next time offer to send you a email with an amazon code as alternative to paypal, maybe it works and even if not, try was it worth.

Personally I think problem is much more simple. The donors are leaving because G4 is ending.
However it could also because Ponyman has not kept a regular schedule of posting comics since his divorce. Not his fault but donors like to see regular updates like people watching a tv show. If that show's episode release dates become irregular people lose interest and move on to shows with regular release schedules.
As for the dollar, the issue is the US leadership and US media are making leaders in other countries nervous. They want to distance themselves form any possible political fallout that might come from associating with the current leaders of the US. To do this they are trying to use alternate sources of finance their countries in case the US implodes, does something stupid and start world war 3, or goes completely off the deep end and cause a planet wide deep depression the likes of which have not been seen before.
As an American it hurts my national pride seeing countries do this but having multiple options for financing is a very smart move to guard against possible economic down turn and protects national security.

Sorry this is happening to you. I've supported you for a while now and I will continue to do so. But if you feel you aren't getting enough from this, you need to take care of you first. If that means you have to leave for a while and give sporadic updates or (I hope it won't be the case) if it means leaving all together, no one is going to blame you for it.
I don't know what will come of this all. The only things I can do are what I can offer now, monetary support and some words of encouragement.

I'm so sorry about your situation, I can't imagine how Deviantart will be without your mastepieces, but in the end the choice is yours, I wish I could help, It's so hard for you to going on, and you have to think about your future, I wish I could think with happiness but I can't find a work and I'm 30, life is going away and I'm losing it, I hate my university, I want to leave it but my parents said "no". If it's because of some of your old watchers leaving the fandom or you for other interests, it's inevitable. We can't force them to stay but we could try to share with other people how wonderful G4 MLP was like and some life stories regarding it or why we stayed. G4 may end but never it's spirit. Let's pray to the horse gods to bless us with a new generation of content creators!
