It's beautiful. It's interesting to see one work against the other. Both are very beautiful, but emanate such a different feeling. The other one is more 'pure', the face seems more consistent, the paleness of the whole painting is very peaceful and somewhat melancholic really.
This one is a lot more expressive, and I don't blame it solely on the colors but more so on the splatter effect, which I personally am a great fan of. The fact that it has colors certainly helps, and overall it's more visually captivating than the other one.
All in all, both are great but this one has both beauty and expressiviness (is that a word? oh well).

I like melancholy of the first art
Like the mood and how you noticed paleness of painting
And when I sat down to paint, I knew that even if I wanted to, it is unlikely that already give it the mood of melancholy. I wanted to bring more movement, some expression and freshness. But so that my art looked decent on the background of the original)

Well I don't know if the original is better. The face is better. The face looks ever so slightly misaligned to me. But the original has the same issue. I like the color and mood of your rendition much better though. I just love watercolor when it's done right. Good Job.
