Okay, so I need to ask.Β
Do you draw the backgrounds then blur the hell out of them, or do you just lazily make them, then blur? Or are you just amazing?

hmmm, it really just depends on how much of the background I want to be in focus? Like, with this particular one I wanted to sort of get the effect of like a camera focus? with a super blurred out bg and some bokeh. I did sort of lazily draw the very far distance, because that is the part which will be most blurred but as I get closer to the foreground I like to try and put more details in, even if i am blurring it to death lmao. Β For the blur I use PS CS5's "lens blur".
And to be honest, most of the time, if I've drawn a bg I'm not pleased with, I blur it. I know it seems like a wasted effort but even the smaller details can help it look better once blurred idk haha sdfghjkl i hope this answers your question ; v ;
