Brought you something different this time
My first inking attempt after all of these years. Learned how in college but i was so sucky back then (like really, honest, C+ was already good for me back then). I think this is a decent first try. This was a lineart practice, but then i wanted to challenge myself on texturing with ink. Left the skin blank cos i thought she stood out more this way besides the fact that i failed on my shading attempt. lol
-done in Painter IX with Pen brush-
A new character of mine. i named her Kuni.
- she's a winged unicorn lady. (i gave her a little bit sexy look)
- she has a beauty mark under her left eye.
- the fur is not her clothes but her skin.
- she wears a north star choker and a belly button ring.
- she puts on a big ribbon on her tail.
- her hair is growing all the way through her spine.
I -might- make the color version of this.

I think that it shows itself more without adding any colors or extra shading. Colors can bring out the beauty and the art of an object, but not every object. Some things you can find beauty and art in B/W, which I love more in photos.

yeah, it's very possible. i made this in Painter almost from scratch (sketched in PS). I used Pens - Smooth Ink Pen for the brush.

I have to try more.. I don't know if I'm using a wrong brush, if my hand is not strong enough or if my tablet isn't the best one..
btw my tablet is a wacom graphire (a5).

well, your tablet seems to be better than mine. i only have a cheap tablet (Genius brand, a5 size)
but i understand that Painter is rather confusing. i tried different brushes and i have lucky enough to find one that worked for me for this piece..

There's alot of detail in this which is amazeing. Great work! It is a bit hard understanding that 'suit' she's wearing, or if her body's like that. But other then that, it's a fantastic piece. Much better then my first attempt
