I stumbled upon this comic by accident and I really love it. But could you clear things up for me?
Is Yoko a male or a female?

and sure,
Yoko the riolu, Lucas the pikachu, Marowak, and Rico the piplup are all boys.
it starts out with Yoko and Rico being late to the Dojo Acadamy, which is a training area for fighting. and then Rico and Yoko bumps into a new Dojo acadamy student named Lucas. The three of them starts to get to know each other so then when they were all at the Dojo, Rico tricked Lucas into liking Kirlia, who is a guy, not a girl. and rico like so, got beaten up lol. So before lucas, rico and yoko left the dojo, marowak told yoko a secret about lucas on how his mother and father disappeared when he was just a baby, and the only family member left that lucas had close to him was his big brother Byrne. Yoko was not allowed to tell anyone else about this not even lucas. and its important for yoko and others to keep Lucas smiling.
Thats where we are with the story so far
