Yeah, almost as preachy as a Jack Chick tract (though better made).
I'm an atheist; I don't need any religion or holy book to know right from wrong, and I'm not going to learn morality from a book that - among other things - mandates death penalty for homosexuality, calls for extermination of enemy nations, expressly approves of slavery, or threatens people with hell for failure to believe in the "correct" religion.
I'm reminded of a scene in the film 'Short Circuit', where the robot Number "Johnny" 5 says that he had disobeyed his programming, because it calls for killing and destruction, and that is wrong. And a character asks him: "Who told you?" And the robot answers: "I told me." And I'm going to give the same answer to those who ask me to justify my morality. I know that one should not kill, steal, or otherwise harm other people. I know that one should help people in need. I know that all people should be allowed to practice their religion or culture (though religion or culture must not be used as an excuse to persecute or harm others). And I know that, not because it's written in some Bible or Koran, but because it's written in my heart.

"To Live is Christ, to Die is Gain."
That was a quote from Paul if I remember right.
Amen.

Like the Death Note, the life Note is bound to have some consequences. Probably something like 'one life in exchange for another.' I look forward to reading the rest of comic. On page 5 so far.

No offence but...I'd rather have Death Note '-'
I mean, I love god and all, but I find Death Note to be more..fun.
But it could just be because of how I act, my nick name is "The Devils Daughter" and the Death Note is basically made for evil...

Hello. I'm sorry if I'm bothering you and I know this is half a year or so after the fact, but I couldn't help but notice this comment. I mean no offense and I have no idea what your beliefs are, but yin and yang are far from the truth of Christianity. In Toaism, yin and yang work together, but in Christianity good and evil hate each other and struggle against each other. In Christianity, it is not possible for a disciple of Christ to delight in evil. It is because of evil that we were separated from God and condemned to an eternity to punishment had it not been for Christ.
Christ himself said this about the issue: No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. (Matthew 6:24) and βHe who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters. (Matthew 12:30) If you live in sin and delight in evil without repentance and accepting Christ, you are not a child of God, but a child of the devil. You cannot serve both.
