Though God doesn't want us to suffer at all, He does allow some difficulties to come upon us to refine us into better Christians. Before sin humanity was wise and intelligent, perfect both physically and mentally and not requiring discipline. But because our hearts and minds are now tainted and prone to confusion and disobedience, God needs to train us and guide us, like a parent disciplines His children.Just remember that when the going gets tough, keep your chin up; God has a plan for you, and He loves you too much to leave you behind in your troubles.

There are three passages in the Bible (maybe more, but that's all I can find at the moment) that says those who are "tested through fire" (endure through difficulties) with God come out like gold.
"...when He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold." (Job 23:10)
"I will bring one-third through the fire...refine...and test...'This is My people'." (Zechariah 13:9)
"...Your faith, being much more precious than gold...though tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ." (1 Peter 1:7)

Thank you for posting something like this. This is very important to remember.
(My girlfriend recently left me. She said I might have a chance with her in the future if I improve upon myself. I feel so crushed and like crying several times. But I know deep somewhere underneath that He has something special in mind for me. I hope this is a test.)

This is very much what I needed! For myself, and for other sakes. (IDK If you know the story of the schizophrenic girl Jani or the song Calalini but I was looking into that earlier, which made my feel a little sad but then this!) It makes me feel like all the hardships that we have little control over will be temporary. Thankx friend! God Bless!

*Sigh* Yes, schizophrenia is a very sad brain disorder. I don't know why God allows people (especially children) to endure through mental illnesses like that, but it's comforting to know that God grieves for these people and longs for the final judgment when sin and suffering will be destroyed forever. I'm confident that though these people were not in their right minds to properly decide whether or not to accept Jesus into their lives, God knows their hearts and knows whether or not they would've made that decision, and takes that into consideration. ^^ In the end the universe will proclaim that God was fair in His judgments.

"...Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments." (Revelation 16:7)
