Yes, it's more Banya love.
This time I drew 'em in mouse form. Oh lawdy! I'm not good at animals...
Anyhoo...
It's Tanya from "An American Tail" and Basil from "The Great Mouse Detective."
Now, I know they're from two very different stories, but they could work. AAT takes place 12 years prior to GMD... so, Tanya would be a young woman in Basil's time.
So, yay! Basil's complimenting Tanya on her singing voice, and she's very flattered.
Basil's quite a smooth operator.

I saw this drawing for the first time several months ago. I still love it. You've done a great job of aging Tanya and I like the idea of her interacting with Basil. I always loved the American Tail films growing up. I could relate to Fievel and Tanya's Russian and Jewish heritage and really latched onto that. 
I'm assuming you grew up watching AAT as well?

Yeah, well Basil was based on Basil rathbone's Holmes apparently and he was a very smooth operator. Watch The Woman in Green to see why, when he asks the woman out for cocktails.

I also really like the idea of Fievel/Olivia being a couple, though I guess by 1897 Fievel would be a lot older. Tanya could easily be in her 20's by that time though, I always imagined Basil in his 30's, early 40's at the very oldest.

But age gaps can be kinda cool when done well... so, I can see it as having potential... a grown man, Fievel, falling in love with a 16 year old Olivia...

Back then it wouldn't have been as taboo either. XD That kind of thing was commonplace once. Maybe it would make a good fanfic, they're a cute pair even with an age difference. It'd probably be about a 12 year age difference I think, assuming that they were both seven years old in their respective movies.
