Description I've been waiting to submit this for a while. It's sorta like the grand finale. I have more shots from working with that I need to edit (we took over 500 photos). But I've been really busy lately. This is definitely one of the best out of everything so far. And I'm proud of it.

Makeup is by me.

Idea was sort of a collaboration between ~FairyViper and me. The model was overcoming a fear during this shoot, of having things drip on her face. And she did an amazing job. Not to mention the goo was cold when I first poured it over her and she was naked. Can anyone guess what the blue substance is?

This is honestly the only one I liked of this series of photos. That said it is a very good photo with very high quality. I like the idea a lot and I think it is portrayed very well in this photo. Compositionally the photo is very tight, and every edge of the frame is addressed (thumbs up). You might consider cropping the bottom 1/8 and have the flask address the bottom corner more tightly, but I respect your decision. The color on the figure is very nice, and blue and green I think make a statement that is more believable than perhaps orange and pink would-so great choice on the colors. The expression on the model falls in that really nice ambiguous space where the viewer can know it's not real and it's posed but still catch themselves fooled and believing it. What I enjoy most is the use of line, or the way the viewers eye is directed around the image. The she essentially is a circle leading the viewers eye around, and I enjoy the triangle made between the liquid on her skin heading down and the container pointed at an angle. Very nice quality and shows the skill of the photographer. Lastly I would question the color of the background. Again I question does this muted color add or subtract from the work. I enjoy that it's not all one color and it hs a nice tonal quality (the negative space) however is there too much of it? Also does the muted color almost take away from the green color? Because blue and blue/green are cool colors they already pull away from the viewer and appear further away, I fear this muted color makes the space feel shallow and therefore feel more fake. This I understand is tricky because the figure is a warm color...I understand the reasoning for using this color, I am just pointing out to perhaps consider the idea of another color in the future.

thank you for your time, very nice work by an obviously talented artist.

oooOooo... Such a striking image! I'm both awestruck and slightly confused at it, but the place between is pretty impressed, lol.

I love how vivid the blue is, and the blueygreen...goo? is (strange) one of the most drawing elements to the peice. It looks to have thickened or hardened in places, and i imagine that this would be said aliens alien goo ... this is where my confusion comes in... because she's holding the blue liquid as if she is about to take a drink, and the liquid doesnt seem to have been too "sloshed" about in the bottle, but the first impression i had once the awe let me take a proper look, was that she'd previously tipped it over herself lol...but i know nothing on aliens as a subject so i'll guess shes...born in it lol.

The eyeshadow i think is lovely, and it mixes the two colours, (royal blue and the greeneyblue goo) together ..i do have to wonder how it might have looked the same vivid blue as the rest, but can live without knowing.

This is a lovely symbolic peice that speaks loudly. All Stars

Ahhh this is absolutely beautiful. I love blue too, so this is win.

The colours are cold but calming. I love the purple tinge to her skin, and the bit of yellow in there too. It's really natural looking unlike...well you know, airbrushed photos etc.

I don't have a clue what the substance is. XD It looks like kool-aid to me, but thicker. Yep no idea.

My only crit is I feel the green eyeshadow kind of takes away from the colour scheme, but that's probably just my blue complex...I'm subconciously obsessed with the colour, my brain probably just doesn't like that inconsistancy.

Awesome. Magical, and emotive~

This is simply too fantastic for words. From those captivating blue eyes of hers till that vial of liquid! And that lipstick / eyeshadow of metallic blues and greens - everything just fits so perfectly together.

I admire your ease at working with models (well, not all ease, but still.) For one, I've never been able to find one that can be totally comfortable, and I'd wager 99% of them wouldn't dare to strip naked and try shots like these.

Thank you very much

I've been working with models for about 5 or 6 years, so I have had practice. But that's true, it's hard to find models who will do just about anything for art. This model here is my favorite. She has a natural, raw talent of posing and expressing and also a raw beauty. Have you tried looking on www.modelmayhem.com? That's where I've found most of my models, it's good for networking. Now I'm not saying it's full of talented people, some of the people on there are.. lacking. But you can sometimes find truly beautiful and talented people if you look hard enough.

As for models who are willing to pose nude or do weird things like this.. it just depends on the model. I never have models do anything that's out of their comfort zone. V here is just willing to do just about anything. And it's also a level of trust that you develop with a model once you have worked together a few times. She and I hang out like friends when we work together.

Hmm... Which blue substance? The stuff on her looks like... maybe blue food coloring and corn syrup? (We just had fun with red food coloring and corn syrup for blood for halloween costumes and it looks rather similar) and the stuff in the bottle looks like just water and blue food coloring...

Hehe. This is gorgeous. I love how you've done her eye makeup, it just goes so well and I like the gradient-background you've put her with. Just... The colors and everything is so well done!!!
