I really like the bags and wrinkles under the eye, and the beaten up mouth (you know me, I love our imperfections)... and... the whole composition, it's angled so that it's not pretty, with the nostril, and the slightly disgusted mouth. It makes the picture much more interesting, because we're all so desensitised to prettiness.
Your eye looks lovely, without any distracting reflections - you can see the pattern of the iris really well. The colours are beautiful, as they were throughout that series.
Something about the fingers seems a bit wrong though. I guess it's because they don't seem to be doing anything, your hand is just kind of there.

I like that your little finger is pulling your skin in the same direction as the smudge of your lipstick. it sorta keeps the movement/flow of the picture going... just a little detail that caught my attention...

Everything in most of my photos [particularly self portraits] is done by me. I always do my own makeup.
With the exception of a lot of photos of models, most of them do their own makeup.

I don't know what it is about your photos but I'm always attracted to the ones that have your eyes in them or anyone eyes but the eye to me always adds a bit intrigue and mystery for me on this one it adds a bit of fear if you as to what will happen next. The eye shadow adds more curiosity is that it's almost as if your eye is infected and the eyeliner is the mutation as it slowly but surely over takes your pale skin. But again I love these photos that involves the eye it adds more fun to comment on. Awesome job jess!
