It's almost like this shoot was too good to be true.
Once again a collaboration with the amazing, aka J-Chans Designs. This woman is amazingly talented. She designed the costume, the wig and did the makeup. I can't wait to work with her again!
And the incredibly gorgeous model is Elizabeth Maiden (Model Mayhem#401472)
This is just a taste of more to come!!!! It was an incredibly successful shoot. And my first outdoor photo shoot in a long time at a very neat location. It's an old building near an industrial park near my house which burned down a year or so ago. What's left is a metal and concrete shell. It made for a great setting.

This photo just screams IMPACT . . . . even the thumbnail of the deviation blew me away. I'm excited to do my first critique (after receiving my first recently).
It's overall feel is stunning and no one can deny the blend of colours is eye candy overload. Probably the most daring aspect of the colour choices is the choice to put the same or similar colours next to each other, this is risky and can make an image look drab or unbalanced, but this photo does not suffer from this at all. Probably the most obvious example is the red on the neck, at first glance it really looks like it's part of the fabric/dress then it jumps out at you that it's makeup, it's fantastic. The use of a contrasting blue colour is so minimal and the proportion of blue to red is very small, yet the blue has so much impact on both the eyes and with the wig. That colour on the eyes is my favourite colour in the whole picture, it's exquisite!
Technically this photo I feel needed to be cropped a little more at the top to fill the photo completely with the model herself! Otherwise it's fantastic, it has lovely focus and the wall behind does not take focus away from the model but actually creates a lovely contrast to bring the colours out in the costume even more. Profile views can often be a bit boring too but this one certainly is not. The choice to put the model on the side leaning forward makes for a more dynamic picture that the standard "stand up straight" profile views you see most of the time. Her mouth slightly open add a little sultriness to the picture and makes you want to know what she is looking at, what has her so transfixed?
Maybe it's her reflection because wouldn't it be hard to avert your gaze if you stumbled upon this photoshoot in session!!!

and thanks for asking. I don't think I can give you permission though, just because someone else painted this once and then tried to sell it and the designer and model weren't very happy with that. They requested that I no longer let people use it for any traditional art references. Sorry
