Sea holly just happens to be one of my favorite plants! There area few populations nearby (and I featured it in an esk design inspired by my part of the world
)Sadly it's declining, especially in the north, and is disappearing altogether at many places in Europe.
It's been used for plenty of things, from medicine, to candy, to aphrodisiac, depicted on stamps and heraldry, mentioned in poems and plays, and altogether is a really gorgeous and unique looking plant and I hope we get to keep it! <3
