Guys. Guys. Guys.So um. I kinda sorta absolutely and un-ironically love the Power Pack comics. They melt my heart into happy piles of goo. ;w;
Katie Power/Energizer especially. My little sister and I read the first comic of the new series together and it set us into a fit of giggles that made my Dad come in to check to see if we were okay because we are easily swayed by the adorable.
I'm not saying it's for everyone, and I can't speak for most of the old series and the new series is mostly aimed at a younger age bracket. But it hits upon a certain weakness of mine--

I don't even know if they'd keep it in a serious comic store since they are kind of aimed at kids and are mainstream-ish but I'd certainly give it a shot if you're facing a serious lack of the cute in your life. (:
XD;; I'm sort of seriously contemplating getting the Thor miniseries with them. I don't even hardly know a thing about Thor-the-hero (Which is odd because I know about at least the basics of a lot of them but none of my sibs were Thor fans so he kind of slipped past the radar for me and then boom!movie trailer.) but he and the others get turned into babies and the Power Pack has to take care of them. ;3; BABIES HAPO. BABIES.
This is actually more monumental than I'm making it sound though since I've never owned a super hero comic book of any sort in my life and have only really been getting into it in the last few months. I was even at the library the other day and I passed by the shelf and recognized some of the titles but got too embarrassed to actually check them out. I'M STILL GETTING THE HANG OF THIS.

My sister brought me a ton of free comics. X3 Actually now that I think about it she brought me back a Thor crossover with Iron Man. XD; But... those are still the only comics I own aside from an obscenely huge stack of Sonic the Hedgehog comics. X3
I've been a Spider-Man fan since I was a wee child so that's what I would get first. X3

It's not like I haven't had interaction with superheroes before, it's just most of my interactions have been through cartoons (especially Batman and Static Shock though I've been watching a lot of x-men of late) and movies and the internet and interactions with my older siblings, some of whom are comic fans, and the idea of y'know actually reading the comics some is a tad mind-blowing. XD;;
