Pieper M1893 Revolving Carbine
A revolver carbine developed in Belgium towards the end of the 19th Century. It notable featured the same gas-seal system later used by the Nagant revolver, which allowed it to be suppressed and made it safe to shoot, unlike other weapons of it's kind. It was used in small numbers in Mexico.

Just finished reading an old book about the Rurales "Mexican Country police"* they used these, i suppose they could have been much easier to use on horseback - no lever to work like a winchester etc.
* tough s.o.b's who used the "Ley fuga" i.e. if they captured bandits and their associates tried to rescue them or attack then the rurales would kill the prisoners

Yeah these were used in Mexico, though they also had other weapons, including Arisaka rifles.
