In order to improved the increasingly obsolete Ha-Go, the leftover turrets from converted Chi-Ha tanks were installed in the Ha-Go chassis in order to boost the firepower of the vehicle, although this conversion came too late, and most Ke-Nus remained in Japan, with only a few seeing combat in Manchuria.
