Nice work, Don. Sorta reminds me of this duck art project I did in high school.

First of all, great job on blending the colours. It looks so radiant and beautiful with the shimmering green plumage on the duck's head. I also like the way you've used cross-hatching (i.e. especially for the highlights/shadows), as it creates texture and lends the piece depth.
The only thing that appears to be slightly off is the closed eye, because it looks tiny against the larger proportion of the head. Anyway, beautiful job all-round.
