For each new render, I often go through a number of different concepts / ideas -- and, I will admit, most of the time I eventually upload something "good enough," rather than something that I'm actually happy with. Here are just a few of the intermediaries rendered while I was creating my most recent image (see title and related picture in gallery). I think there are three (four?) total in this series -- and you should pick up on general underlying themes that often (but not always) make it into the "final" render. I'll probably create intermediates more frequently in the future, which render reasonably fast if I keep the resolution low (like this image).
