Description Side by side comparison. Made of 100% craftfoam. Its a tad taller than I wanted but it'll do.

Heated to get the shape then hot glued the ends together. Mod Podge and spray paint do wonders. I used a glue called Beacons 3-1 craft glue to assemble instead of fabric glue. It soaked through the foam and gave me a horrid texture on my once smoothly spray painted surface. Sigh. Now I know if I decide to remake it.

This is brilliant! How durable is it? Can it be worn on a daily bases? Do you do commissions?

Thats really awesome! I've been looking for this for a while. Would you be willing to make one for me? Is it durable?

Wearable yes. I am able to slip it on and off my hand with gloves on. It's been durable so far. It's gotten a few nicks in it since its foam.

Oh that would be wonderful for more pictures. I've only been able to find the thinner foam stuff so that's why I was wondering if you had layered it a ton but thank you.

I'll definitely take some more for you. I found the thicker foam at Joann fabrics. I tried Michael's but mine didn't have it. It was certainly useful. I used it for the base, the chain link, and the piece that holds the chain link to the cuff.

how many layers of craftfoam did you end up using on the bracelet? I'm in the process of trying to make this and I'm at a complete loss and any advice would be helpful. (your bracelet is by far the best one I've come across)

The base layer (black) of my bracelet is a super thick craft foam. Then I have two layers of thinner foam on top of that. It worked out really well to have the thicker base. All the seams are hot glued down the back. I used a leather hole punch to make the circles. I can take more photos for you if you need more reference.

You did a really nice job with this piece. I've contemplated working with craft foam myself, but remember several failed attempts with those foam sheets (like paper) in other projects -.-
I like the side by side comparison as well. :3

Craft foam is a really good medium to use. (and very budget friendly) I just wish it didn't show every single crease or imperfection that happens to it. I keep telling myself....No one will notice it from far away. It wont show up in a photo. lol
