Description
The verdant, green jungles of Enshaw are the home of many strange and unusual species not found across the rest of the world.
Top to bottom:
Nicre- A species of vulpine mammal that is the main terrestrial land predator of the Eshawdian jungle. Bony spines on the rear of ankles to defend young
Enshawdian Stripers- a species of pig that inhabits the jungle, moves in small herds and lives off fruit and tubers.
Grarrabarra- the largest of the Enshawdian apes that feed off bark, fruit and leaves. Peaceful but violent when attacked, beating with their fists and gouging with their tusks
Kotas- small rodents who feed off insects. Live in nests between tree roots and carrion
Tongerwas- also known as “Tongeys”, small lizards who come in either green with red stripes or brown with yellow spots. Feeds off insects. Has a habit of crawling up soldier’s trousers to sleep in their crotches
Maned Gritadas- large monkeys with an aptitude for climbing, recognisable by their whooping calls and fluffy manes. Lives off fruit and buds, and have a habit of stealing soldier’s ration packs.
Damasca Monkeys- a smaller monkey species that occupy a lower layer of the canopy and the jungle floor. Very timid and go running at the slightest noises
