I Don't know why I never put these up before but I guess I can.
All of the necromon designs are the older incarnations so it's fun to see the evolution Scythe put them through.
I haven't pixeled in ages really..
Now that I look at these again, the incredibly high saturation nearly kills my eyes. These were all done on a different computer with very different setting then my current one. Back then I didn't know how to adjust those things tihihi.

Nice. I remember you from the Bogleech forums way back a couple of years ago. If I had to pick a favourite, it would probably be the candle one (I know that they all have names, but I'm not going to look for it, find it, and come back. Too much work.). But yeah, those are some great designs.

ha ha, that little dude with the knife in the side of his head is hilarious! Really cool designs on the rest of them too. It makes me a bit nostalic, like playing old PC RPGs in the early 90's.

You need to make another one of these man... maybe a sheet with all the "big" necromon or something along set lines? Either way, great job.

Daimera: Yeah I played around with contrast and color a little at one point, and made some more outlines when they weren't there.
I think I'll add the familiars when I get back home, I love the designs of those, wink wink wat scythe
I really wish there was a necromon game of sorts, I've had plenty of opportunity to help get things on the way but my skills are much to limited for anything practical.

And by random thought and realization, the sprite I have of Wervelkolom from this series is differently colored. O_o It's more bone/tan/yellowed, instead of this almost pinkish-tinted one. I also notice I'm missing one or two sprites from here, and that this sheet's missing those cute little familiars. XD
I still admire these and think they're some of the best sprites I've seen, -ever-.

'Tis about time you put them up! For the longest while I had them all stuck in an HTML file to view them against the dark backgrounds they were made for. XD These are extremely awesome, they're just so detailed, and the colors are PERFECT.

what's meant by premade bases? These sprites are creatures I designed and drew that he converted into full-color graphics for a game project that never got anywhere. Like he says in the description, though, I've changed the majority of my monsters into more elaborate/dynamic forms since these were done...

You know those Dolls the girls just love playing with, the online pixel things? Those are premade bases for the most part. Someone drew the body and perhaps the artist drew the dress/outfit OR they just took it from somewhere else on the site they took the body.
I assume he didn't use such methods since they are so detailed, even if they were at one point the work put in makes up for it.

Ah, yes. We were thinking of something like that when we were going to start making human characters (because they were customizable) but all the monsters were made from scratch. I'd give vague ideas as to what color they might look nice in and he'd take it from there. The shading/lighting effects were all his doing as well, since my sketches were rather flat and straightforward.
