I donΒ΄t see a fearfull face, I see it like she is wathcing someone, maybe stalking xD. I see her face and think like she knows what she's doing, like with some hidden intention. Who knows, it's more intriguing to see it that way, i like it

Another excellent work. And, I agree with Dragdar; intelligent, resourceful, strong willed too. She appears to be afraid, but it is held in check, it is calculated, and purposful. Once again, I am amazed at the features and expressions in your art work! Wow! It would be a perfect cover for a book (Dragdar..... do you write?). Thank you for sharing you works.

I look through so very many fantasy artworks, and still I come back to your works with aticipation.... Knowing that, in fact I will find characters with "substance". This in turn allows "us", the viewer to relate and dream about the ones you have brought to life for us. Like this very one, and Beauty and the Beast! Buen Hecho, Well done!

It looks like the end of the road right there. (probably a side road)
So... she's cornered, that for sure.
By the way she's dressed she probably lives either near the forest or in it.
She's bare foot-> she's used to taking long walks in forest -> I doubt she's lost
She's intelligent, cautious and resourceful
She chose that place for a reason I think she was walking near the main road when she heard some noise. Rumors have it that the imperial army is going this way.
But it's not the army to be exact it's imperial escort.
The most elite soldiers appear before her eyes. Wearing armor like she's never seen before, fits them like a glow , decorated with golden lines and symbols of the royal family.
They were escorting a chariot so beautiful that she held her breath for second. Made of dark red wood with blue and purple curtains. It was something that a plain girls like her probably never see in their entire lives.
Handsome men so strong in their build,
with such determination in their eyes and strictness in their posture made her heart beat faster...

I hope you write your novel, english or otherwise!
As for leather armor, I have never painted any, but firstly I would find some reference and study that, and maybe see how other artists have tackled it. Decide whether it is smooth and shiny (reflective) or dull and tarnished. This will determine the way light and colour reacts with it. Good luck with that!
