Haha.

This made me think of my friend.

Everytime someone asks her how she's doing, she responds honestly and doesn't ask how the other person is feeling. It's not that she doesn't care, it's just she expects them to come to her when they need help, not have to be asked.

I think in a strange way it has made us more honest with eachother.

how much i loved him...

when he asked...how i was...and when i wasn't fine at all...

i still say "good, and you?" because it takes too much effort to tell anyone what's going on and i'm too polite not to return the question. i figure if they really cared enough to ask me and want to know the truth, they'll find out eventually how i am. i hate small talk!!

how very true... i myself am guilty on both parts, both asking and answering... i once got a reduction on a ticket because i answered a similar question with only part of the truth; the person inquired further, and i told them about something minor (true, but relatively minor) about the meal--10% off! and the real truth had nothing to do with the meal...

Isn't it weird how people ask but don't really want to know. And if you say something other than "I'm fine" or "I'm ok" They don't know what to say

Sometimes it feels like you can't say anything else, but you can.

I always do that. It becomes sort of a habit to just say good and it keeps them from trying to out do you if you feel like crap because of something and they think they have it worse.

I hate that question. It's not like I could say "I feel like shit." Since I feel like that all the time anyways.
