Unused wonky animation for the DC Nation commercial. I animated it on paper, colored in photoshop. Thanks to for the coloring help, or we would have not hit that deadline.She is "Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld". I'm heading up this short with a bunch of friends. To see the full clip, [link]

Did DC come to you about the idea or did you go to DC?
This is interesting to say the least. When I think DC Comics, I do not think of characters that could easily started out in a Shojo manga (It's such a shame the character wasn't around when Sailor Moon became popular). This will definitely add a bit of variety to the DC Nation programming.

I remember that comic! I think I have the first mini-series published by DC back in the 80s. I picked it up because, at the time, it was a very unusual title; it wasn't about superheroes or battling robots. I'm interested in what becomes of this project.
