Hoping to gain inspiration for her story anywhere, Lewis doesn’t want to waste an opportunity to find ideas by meeting new people and reading a variety of material for research purposes. When she has a thought that seems interesting to her she’d want to share it to the first person she sees to get their opinion on it whether they're a stranger or not. Sometimes her ideas will sound childish or impossible to achieve, and she won't notice it until someone would debunk it for her. Will get dependent onto others who show that they have a lot of knowledge about the world, such as a realist. Therefore, she'd go to them often when she has concerns or questions. Fearing that she'd seen as ignorant or naive, she goes out of her way to research about something she doesn't know about.Claims that she is a slow learner and prefers to go at her own pace, but tries to redeem herself by completing the tasks that are assigned to her. However, she can only stay focused on doing one thing at a time to avoid becoming overwhelmed and isn't quite the perfectionist. Usually leaving things as it is when they're 'decent' enough to her unless told otherwise. Doesn’t mind making mistakes and finds a tiny bit of progress something to feel proud of, but takes critiques very seriously and is attentive towards other people's opinion. She enjoys and tolerates change. Is rather a push-over since she can get easily guilt-tripped and is bad at arguments. Has trouble sensing the atmosphere and shallow when it comes to people, finding it difficult to detect details such as if someone were to hide their emotions. Predictable since she has continuity in her schedule and in her actions. Gets tongue-tied and stutters a lot when she gets nervous. Directs the conversation topic towards the other person, since she doesn't know how to talk about herself. This is because she normally doesn't think about herself, since her mind focuses on other people or things. Can be easily swayed by other people's ideas and wants to a point where she has trouble executing hers, which has led her to struggle in writing due to the lack of expressing herself as the author.[History]
Lewis lived in a small town that is only populated by humans. Most, including her family, has never ventured out and met non-humans before. Society there has never changed much and citizens usually followed old traditions. Due to the comfortable lifestyle, most relatives found no reason to move away and worked in family owned businesses.Growing up, Lewis worked in the Velinetta Inn as a server of the dining hall and she would listen to a few travelers' experiences with non-humans whether they were made up or not. Her curiosity on what the world was like outside her hometown evolved as she aged. She started to search for information regarding other places through books and scrolls. The amount of information was limited, since the local library was small. However, her love for literature still bloomed as a young teen and made her start to recreate the tales she heard from the travelers into stories. One day a traveling author came to stay, someone that Lewis looked up to from reading his books as a child. They encountered each other but unfortunately, it wasn’t a heartfelt meeting since he gave a harsh critique on her stories.“You need to experience and find more data about these things, before you can write about it.”That line alone made Lewis more open-minded and attentive to her content. And from witnessing her mutual acknowledgment to his advice, he decided to pass down an unfinished book to her. The author challenged her to write the next chapter for him. He gave her no particular deadline, instead he only hoped to see how far she can go about improving in her storytelling skills. Despite accepting that request, Lewis was very lost at first. Since then Lewis started to get absorbed into using other people's imagination and started to become hesitant in using her own originality. Afraid that her lack of knowledge about things may reflect from her writing in a negative way. When she brought up the idea of traveling away from the village to her family, they wouldn’t allow her to go out blindly to an unknown destination finding it dangerous. Upon cleaning up tables, she noticed that someone left a flyer behind. A flyer that described a place called Toffee Town. A sense of relief and hope rushed in as she finally found a stepping stone towards gaining inspiration for her story. After convincing her family that moving into a new town and starting over will possibly improve her work as an aspiring author, they helped her pack and sent her off to the train. During her ride, she looked forward to seeing what the world is like through her own eyes.
