Description
Taking a wrong turn into the forest, Morgana winds up in a fight for her life as she battles what appears to be multiple shiny mightyena. However... not all is what it seems...One would think Morgana's fear was mightyena, but noooo.... That's not quite it. It's more of the symbolism a mightyena means to her, especially a shiny one. One who reminds her of someone from long ago...
Suddenly being faced with a vicious onslaught, she must face not only a physical fear... but an emotional one as well. Could this battle be all in her mind? It certainly feels real enough... Regardless of whether or not what she sees and feels is realistic, Morgana ultimately winds up conquering her greatest fear... but the cost is great.
What did she lose in the process?

So, yeah.... thanks to complications on my end, I am indeed, very late... x x To be honest, I was just going to scrap this and call it a day, but something pushed me on to finish it, regardless of how I was feeling. I... think a lot of my frustration was placed into this, as this is probably the angriest picture I've created in a long time. I'll admit, I'm quite happy with the outcome, though.
Btw, if you want to know the full details of what went on here... you'll have to read my story which I plan to post sometime this week. I'm sure the three of you are really excited about that.

Back in 2006 when I first started posting things here, most of my art was pretty dark like this. I do miss those days, so here's the update.
I've actually been meaning to draw some darker things for awhile now. I could create something more gruesome, but it would have to be an independent piece, since most of the groups I'm in won't allow that kind of stuff.

I think you must have managed to really imbue this piece with your emotions, because when I look at it for a while it sets my blood racing! It gives me the feeling that desperation might come creeping any minute...
And who's that in the back? It doesn't look like a Mightyena, not a normal one anyways...
I'm worried about her eye, I think that might be what she lost. Though I can neither see her necklace, but it maybe just is hidden behind her sleeve.
Also, you can make that number four because I sure am excited for this story as well!
oh, and I really like how you make and use fire and lighting, it gives this great effect and deapth ^^

That shadowy creature might not be a mightyena, yes. =]
She's still wearing her necklace, but yeah, her arm is blocking it. I was originally going to show her using it during the fight, but I liked the flame effect better.

Wow, what is happening here 8O.
First of all, I am super surprised to see you had a picture prepared for this one, I really didnt see anything from it, but I think it was mostly due you wanting to keep me spoiler free.
Man, there is like blood in this picture and stuff, it does seems more violent than your usual drawings, but I do like that, is dramactic and unexpected.
I can only make guesses of what is going on in here, I am curious, deadly curious to know the full story, I mean, I can see a pokemon in the back and I can almost surely guess what kind of pokemon, but no idea of anything else, or how it is related to Morgana. I do want to know what happened that fateful night, I bet it makes up for some delicious plot and dramatic events.
I have an ill feeling about Morgana´s eye at the moment, it doesnt seem to be there to begin with. I kind of understand how my pic was related to this now. O o

Yeah, I was trying to keep it a secret. Mostly due to spoilers and also because I wasn't sure if I was going to finish this or not. I guess you could call this a teaser/trailer now?
This is old-skool Amber. Back in the old days, most of my pics were more like this (albeit less detailed) before I started sticking to the PG stuff. It feels good, man.
